FlixBus Expands Western Canada Network with New Prairie Routes Launching May 7

CALGARY (April 29, 2026) — FlixBus, North America’s fastest-growing intercity bus service, today announced the expansion of its Western Canada presence with new and enhanced service launching May 7, 2026, creating more affordable and convenient travel options across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The expanded network will improve connectivity between Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Winnipeg, while also serving communities including Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Swift Current, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon and Brandon. The launch marks another step in FlixBus’ continued expansion in Canada and its long-term vision to strengthen links between regions across the country.

New and Expanded Prairie Service

Beginning May 7, FlixBus’ Prairie network will now include three interconnected lines designed to create smoother regional travel and convenient transfers in Regina:

• Edmonton – Saskatoon – Regina (existing service) 
• Calgary – Lethbridge – Medicine Hat – Swift Current – Moose Jaw – Regina (expanded service) 
• Regina – Brandon – Winnipeg (new service)

New Communities Added to the Network

As part of this expansion, FlixBus is introducing service to several new communities across the Prairies:

• Winnipeg, MB – 35 Vermillion Road (R2H 0E3) 
• Brandon, MB – 059 Middleton Avenue (R7C 1A8) 
• Swift Current, SK – 1 Springs Drive (S9H 5B7) 
• Moose Jaw, SK – 1235 Main Street North (S6H 1M6) 

Existing Stops with Expanded Service

Existing stops in Medicine Hat and Lethbridge will now be part of an expanded Calgary–Regina corridor, providing additional connectivity to communities across Saskatchewan and onward to Manitoba.

• Medicine Hat, AB – 361 6 Ave SE (T1A 2S7) 
• Lethbridge, AB – 705 5 Ave S (T1J 0V4) 

Together, these routes allow passengers to travel seamlessly between Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba through a coordinated network designed for flexibility and ease.

Winnipeg Gains New Connections to Saskatchewan and Alberta

The launch of new service to Winnipeg marks FlixBus’ entry into another key Canadian market and expands affordable travel options for Manitoba residents. Through convenient connections in Regina, travelers from Winnipeg will gain new access to destinations across Saskatchewan and Alberta, while customers across the Prairies will have easier access to Manitoba’s largest city.

The addition creates new opportunities for student travel, family visits, weekend getaways and business trips, while bringing more transportation choice to the Winnipeg market.

Regina to Become Key Travel Hub

With the new launch, Regina will serve as an important connection point within the FlixBus network, linking westbound and eastbound service across the Prairies.
