Must-See Spot in Nevada
You can’t visit Nevada without experiencing the whirlwind that is Las Vegas. No matter how long you plan to stay, whether it’s just a day, a week or longer, the City of Light is the perfect place for your next vacation.
What can I do in Las Vegas?
The real question should be, “What isn’t there to do in Las Vegas?”. Apart from walking down the Strip at night when the bright lights of the casinos and nightclubs illuminate the street, there is also a huge range of daytime activities. Check out the best views of Las Vegas from the iconic Stratosphere Observation Deck and go on one of the thrill rides at the top of the tower. You can also explore the city by taking a Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour or a walking tour along Fremont Street to learn about the history of Las Vegas while seeing the city’s most-famous sights.
Did you know that some of the best shopping opportunities in the US are in Las Vegas? Many great malls can be found lining the Strip. You can also go to one of the famous Las Vegas shows such as Magic Mike, Cirque du Soleil or one of the many concerts that are held every evening.
Lovers of art and culture want to check out the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, the Mob Museum or the Neon Museum, where you can see vintage neon signs that used to light up the Strip.
When you’re there, don’t forget to take a photo with the “Welcome to Las Vegas” Sign!

The 22-mile-long freshwater lake, high in the Sierra Nevada, is a popular year-round destination on the western border of the Silver State. Whether you are looking for a relaxing weekend away or an action-packed adventure, Lake Tahoe is the perfect place to visit during your stay in Nevada.
What can I do at Lake Tahoe?
While technically falling in between both California and Nevada, many still consider Lake Tahoe as the Jewel of Nevada. During the summer months, the lake is a hotspot for all types of activities in the water including skiing, jet skiing, tubing and fishing.
You can also find a wide range of hiking trails around Lake Tahoe that differ both in difficulty and duration. Amateur hikers can check out the easier trails, such as the Lake of the Sky Trail and Tahoe Meadows Trail, while some of the more skilled hikers will want to check out the Mount Tallac Trail or Tahoe Rim Trail. The area is also a great place for winter activities, particularly on the lake’s north shore. The area receives between 300 and 500 inches of snow annually, which is perfect for downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dogsledding, snowmobiling and more. The Squaw Valley Ski Resort near the lake was also venue of the 1960 Winter Olympics.
Where is Lake Tahoe?
The north end of Lake Tahoe is reachable from Reno in about 45 minutes.
